Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell to be casted in Mr. Harrigan’s Phone based on short story by Stephen King on Netflix!

Awhile back probably around this time last year I wrote a newsletter about all of Stephen King’s short stories from the book, “If It Bleeds,” in this link https://booknotions.com/stephen-king-news/ . Mr. Harrigan’s Phone is coming to Netflix next year and Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell who appeared in the IT films will star as the main characters. I am currently reading “If It Bleeds,” to get into the spirit of October which is scary Halloween season. “Mr. Harrigan’s Phone,” is about young boy Craig who befriends eccentric elderly billionaire Mr. Harrigan. When Mr. Harrigan dies, Craig thinks his old friend is gone forever but he soon finds out that he can speak with Harrigan on his iPhone from beyond the grave. Donald Sutherland is playing Harrigan and Jaeden is playing Craig.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Stephen King short story is being produced by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse and Ryan Murphy. The announcement was made as part of the second annual BlumFest, which celebrates the many spooky projects from scaremaster Blum. Jason Blum of Blumhouse horror films did the Conjuring films, The Insidious Films among many others with Director James Wan. Ryan Murphy is famous for American Horror Story, American Horror Stories, American Crime Story, Feud, 911 and 911 Lone Star. With this creepy duo working with Stephen King you know you’re going to get scary good content.
