Read That? Read This! Romance, Suspense & Ghosts

Both New York Times Bestselling authors, Catherine Bybee & Karen White are amazing storytellers whom I’ve interviewed whose stories of romance, mystery and suspense and even ghosts…. If you’re a fan of one author and are looking for books similar to the other one, or if you enjoy stories with ghosts, romance and mystery mixed in, you’ve come to the right place.

Lead Me Home by Catherine Bybee

Luna Canning is a forensic accountant who trusts numbers more than people. Numbers don’t lie, the people from her past do. Luna has a good quiet life living in her grandmother’s Victorian home with her roommate and bestie. Miley. When Luna’s car was stolen from an airport parking lot, Nate Warren FBI turned Private Eye Nate Warren steps in. They try not to let business and pleasure mix, but chemistry and romance are undeniable. As Luna is about to give love a second chance, her unreliable mother brings a whole lot of drama, unresolved trauma and a dangerous man. Luna must deal with the ghosts from her past and one literal one, before they consume her.

The Lady on Esplanade by Karen White

Nola Trenholm is looking for a fresh start in New Orleans helping her friends Jolene & Beau with their house flipping murder homes into something beautiful. But of course, secrets die hard especially from beyond the grave. The house on Esplanade proves that. It was the sight of a brutal murder. The matriarch that lived there was killed but her son and his wife and daughter mysteriously disappeared, and no one knows what happened to them this day. They are trapped spirits and one of them is malevolent. Can Nola with Beau’s help move the spirits on before the malevolent spirit harms them?

What do both books have in common?

What both books have in common are great female characters and both of them are starting over and trying to live life. Both Luna and Nola are trying to live life the best way they can. They both deal with ghosts from their past as well as literal ghosts and they must be strong for the battle ahead before the ghosts of their pasts, both figuratively and literal, consume them all… They both learn they don’t have to solve everything on their own. While both books are from two different authors and two different series, I recommend them. Here are the interviews I’ve done with both Karen & Catherine.
