Young President Snow casted!

We’ve known for a while that The Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” is getting a film adaptation. Today news broke out that the younger version of Coriolanus Snow had been cast. Actor Tom Blyth stars as Young Snow and he’s also the star of the famous EPIX show Billy The Kid. So it seems Tom Blyth is good at playing villains. The movie is expected to come out November 17^th 2023 according to Deadline.com. While the book wasn’t my favorite a small part of me is at least curious to see how Snow became the villain we see in the main saga and hopefully the movie does a good maybe even a better job of incorporating it.

 I am not sure how well this film will do in my honest opinion since it’s been 7 years almost 8 when the final movie came out. Although “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” came out in 2020 it’s been 12 years going on 13 since the final book came out. There’s also the fact that the movie is expected to come out in November of next year so they would have to casting the rest of the characters and the filming as well. Who knows maybe the Snow prequel movie will do well enough that we can get spin off films about other characters or it might be time to move on from this franchise in general. There’s so many book series that deserve a Hollywood movie or t.v. series that haven’t gotten our attention or some that could be redone when it wasn’t done the first time.
