Woman Down
Woman Down
Woman Down, the latest book by Colleen Hoover, is about an author named Petr Rose, who’s still reeling from the backlash of the movie adaptation of one of her books. One night, a sexy cop named Nathaniel Saint appears on Petra’s doorstep and Petra’s creative juices ignite. Nathaniel agrees to be her muse. Though, what makes this dangerous is the blur between what’s real and what’s fantasy. Petra finds out some shocking truths along the way.
Quick Entertaining Read
Woman Down was obviously taken from the controversy with It Ends With Us involving Justin Baldoni & Blake Lively. I also felt like I was there in the lakeside cabin. While the story was fast paced, a lot of excitement didn’t happen until the mid-to-later part of the book and none of the characters were very likeable, especially Petra. Maybe that’s how Colleen intended to write them. The ending is left open to what I believe has potential for a sequel & I would read it. I appreciate that this book is also commentary on how fantasy and reality can blur, especially when writing a story as well as commentary on cancel culture and how fast people can go from loving you to then turning against you. If you’re in the mood for a quick entertaining read and you’re a Colleen Hoover fan, grab a copy of Woman Down wherever you get your books!
