Where the Crawdads Sing Movie!

For fans of the novel “Where the Crawdads Sing,” by Delia Owens, it is going to be a movie now too. I have the book on my kindle. I have yet to read it but I will read it before the movie comes out. Olivia Newman will direct the movie. Olivia has directed “First Match,” on Netflix. I also went to her Wikipedia page (I know I know Wikipedia isn’t always reliable) and saw she directed some episodes of Chicago and Chicago PD.

 According to my source The Roanoke Times, Reese Witherspoon is one of the producers behind the film. The plot follows Kya, a young woman abandoned by her family and left to raise herself alone in a North Carolina town. She becomes a respected author but is accused of murdering her former boyfriend.

 It honestly doesn’t surprise me that “Where the Crawdads Sing,” is being made into a movie. The book was one of the most talked about last year. Not to mention it’s a mystery too. Once I have more updated I will let you know more about the casting for the movie as well as the release date. Once I read the book I will have a review ready for you all to see.
