The Happy High Achiever

The Happy High Achiever

The Happy High Achiever 8 Essentials To Overcome Anxiety, Manage Stress, And Energize Yourself For Success-Without Losing Your Edge by Mary E. Anderson is an important book to read as it gives great advice for us all, especially us goal oriented people to deal with stress, & anxiety. It’s good not just work but for your personal life as well.

Writing, Research & Lessons that make you think

While the book isn’t a particularly long book, there is quite a bit of meat of information in the book like the pork in a delicious Cuban sandwich with ham, Swiss cheese and mustard. Dr. Mary E. Anderson did an excellent job of research and writing for this book.

There’s a lot I could say I love about this book but that would end up spoiling the book all together. I do plan on doing separate blog posts in the miscellaneous section covering what I loved about each section and what I learned. The book has given me even better tools to deal with overthinking & anxiety. This book is clear that negative thoughts & feelings will always sneak in, but we have the power to poke holes in them. Say for example I wasn’t sure this review would be excellent. What if this review sucked? Poking a hole in it would be, I write reviews, newsletters, Q&As and different blog post ideas that make it uniquely mine that many appreciate & that can never be taken away from me.

I also love how Mary acknowledged that having faith in a power bigger than us is important and helpful for many of us as well. In 2019 I felt the call to watch a 5-day free email course about blogging and I knew it was Jesus calling me to do it. I thought to myself, “You know what? Why not? I have nothing to lose.

Overall

This book is great for those wanting to grow more as a person, especially when it comes to being a goal-oriented person & managing stress & anxiety. I also feel this book will help with your personal life outside of what your work is. The Happy High Achiever is on September 24th which is today. Thank you, Dr. Mary E. Anderson! I’m so thankful I was able to read an early copy of The Happy High Achiever & I can’t wait to read more books that you write in the future!
