The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie confirmed!

Well everyone I have more news concerning the Hunger Games Prequel book The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. We know the book is going to be a prequel book about President Snow 64 years before he becomes the villain in the main saga. Well it’s now been confirmed and not too much of a surprise that the book will get made into a movie as well. This news didn’t surprise me too much considering for a few years, Hollywood wanted to do a prequel Hunger Games movie as long as Suzanne Collins was involved.

Now every source out there confirms that The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will get a movie. I know I said in my last newsletter that part of me is excited and the other part of me is worried that the book could possibly make the villain seem sympathetic, which seems to be the overdone trope anymore. Who knows how the prequel will play out?

Hopefully the prequel book and movie will be just as good as the regular series. Maybe if the prequel is done right we can get other prequel spinoffs about other characters. I wouldn’t mind a prequel book about Haymitch Abernathy, Katniss and Peeta’s mentor. I hope when Hollywood starts casting (way after this virus problem is solved) that they cast an unknown actor that looks like a young Donald Sutherland to play Snow. When there is information about when the production, casting and release date come, I will give you guys an update.
