Great Setting, Interesting Concept, Poor Execution & Convoluted Twist

I love the setting of Arizona and the concept for the story is great! So, when I was offered the chance to read a copy I gladly said yes! The execution I think could have been better. Rose was immature I’m like Seriously? You’re still upset over your friend dating the guy you liked back in your teenage years? Move on!  Rose also made a lot of stupid choices, one of which was having an affair with her student. The story dragged in spots and for a short book that’s not good. The twist while it was exciting, I felt it was so out of left field and very convoluted that it seemed the author wanted to hurry this up and finish the story! There is child sex abuse mentioned keep that in mind before picking up a copy!
