Agatha Christie is one mystery author, even after her death that has inspired several authors today. One of her most famous novels other than the ones featuring Hercule Poirot & Ms. Marple, is And Then There Were None. And Then There Were None, tells the tale of several individuals stranded on an island who are guilty of murder either by their hand or causing it in other ways. One by one, they are picked off…. So I put together a list of books that you may enjoy. And Then There Were None? And Then There Are More….

Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney

Daisy Darker & her selfish dysfunctional family can’t stand to be in the same room with one another. They suck it up for Daisy’s grandmother’s 80^th birthday on her home on the island of Cornwall England. The reading of the will not surprisingly angers Daisy’s selfish family. For 8 hours, Daisy, her parents and sisters and niece are stranded in her grandmother’s home due to the hightide. During this time, each family member is killed off one by one…. Someone amongst them is a killer. Alice does a good job of creating the atmosphere of it being stormy and high tide. I could picture the island of Cornwall in England, and I enjoy how the book goes from the 1980s back to 2004 so we see how both timelines come together for the story! Every time I thought I had figured out who the murderer was, I was thrown a curveball. It even has a darker feel than, And Then There Were None, pun intended .

The Guest List by Lucy Foley

Of the coast of a remote island in Ireland, Jules & Will have a grand wedding planned. What should be a weekend of love and hoping for a happily ever after turns deadly…. Someone is murdered, and each of the guests have something to hide as well as a reason to possibly want this person dead. As you read The Guest List, you think you have things figured out, only to figure out, you’re not even close. When you do figure out who killed who and why, your mind goes, Ah yes! That does make perfect sense! Be warned there are sensitive topics such as revenge porn and one character gets an abortion when the man doesn’t want to be involved in helping raise the child. Take that into mind before reading the book.

The Getaway by Kieran Scott

This novel is a blend of the Bravo reality show Summer House & And Then There Were None. This was the first novel I read by Kieran Scott & I can’t wait to read more of her work. The Getaway by Kieran Scott, will be available next month on September 1^st!
