NYPD Red 8 The 11:59 Bomber
NYPD Red 8 The 11:59 Bomber
At exactly 11:59, a bomb exploded in a crowded New York subway station. The next day a second bomb destroys a department store at exactly 11:59. As the bombs keep going off, New York, the city that never sleeps, is now afraid to get out of bed. Detectives at NYPD Red, Kylie MacDonald & her partner Zach Jordan must race against the clock to search for the madman wanting “to destroy New York City the way it destroyed my family”. Will Kylie and Zach be able to stop this madman before time runs out?
Great Characters, Great Story & Mostly Fast Paced
I love the characters Kylie & Zach & they work well together. I also like Zach’s storyline with his son Theo who’s his son but it’s hush hush to Theo. It was also great getting into the minds of Ramon Reyes and the bomber he was working for and befriended. You feel bad for Ramon without making excuses for him. It was mostly fast paced, and I like the fact that the chapters are short. I do feel that what slowed down was the sub plot trying to clear Kylie’s soon to be ex-husband’s name of murder. I felt like that storyline should have been for another book. The ending? Well let’s just say it made me go Oh Snap! If you’re a fan of Marshall Karp or if you need a good mystery thriller, preorder a copy of NYPD Red 8: The 11:59 Bomber coming out on November 25th!
