Murder Your Darlings

Simone “Sam” Vetiver has just finished a lukewarm book tour and is facing writers block with her current book. On top of that, Sam has been recently divorced wondering where her life is going? One day Sam had gotten fan male from William Corwyn, who is a famous author wanting to meet her. William is best known for his female centric characters. Their chemistry is also off the hook. In this case, life imitates art as nothing is what it seems both in their novels and with each other. William has a stalker who wants to ruin him and will stop at nothing to split William and Sam up. Writers in William’s support group have also mysteriously ended up dead over the years. When William invites Sam to his home on a secluded island in Maine, reminiscent of the Shining, Sam wonders if something with William isn’t quite right….

 Great Story great twists

Not only was the idea good, but I love the fact that the points of view alternated between Sam, William and the stalker The Rabbit. I like the fact that I did not see the twist coming in this who done it. What I thought was the truth was far from what the actual twist is which makes it an excellent mystery. It also makes sense what the twist is. William had charm for one moment, but was a walking talking red flag next. Sam, I felt was too blinded by the attention he gave her, but nevertheless I like her as a character and at least she wasn’t obnoxious.
