Loves of Our Lives Poems For Hopeful Hearts: This Heart Remains Hopeful

I was so delighted when last week I got a copy of Josie Balka’s poetry collection Loves of Our Lives Poems For Hopeful Hearts. Each section has different types of love whether its romantic love, friendship love, toxic love or love we don’t forget and self-love. This book reminded me how much I miss reading poetry collections and I hope Josie writes more of them.

 Love In All It’s Forms

Other than the poems being beautiful, I love the beautiful cover. The heart on the front cover looks like a watercolor mosaic creating the heart. It’s hard to choose just one favorite poem. One of my favorites was about friendship and growing apart but how to be grateful that at least they knew each other and the love still being there. The poems seemed personal in the sense that a very close friend was talking to you about life, love, romance and not and waiting for what we deserve. It makes every heart, including my heart hopeful.
