Last Seen

No one can hear you. No one can help you.

To say Halley Jame’s life has gone downhill would be an understatement. Her marriage to Theo is about over, she lost her job at the forensics lab, her father needs emergency surgery. None of this will compare to the bombshell Halley finds out next… Halley discovers back in her hometown of Marchburg Virginia, her mother wasn’t killed in a car accident, she was murdered by her older half-sister Cat. Shocked, angry and hurt that her father would lie about this for so many years, she goes looking for clues in Brockville Tennessee. Halley is about to find out this seemingly idyllic town has dark secrets which may hold the answers to her past and to her sisters…

Writing, & Many Twists & Turns

Last Seen by J.T. Ellison is the first time I read any mystery thriller from her and I’m very glad that I did. I did a Q&A with J.T. back in 2023 under her Joss Walker name. Halley is a likeable character, and I like reading her point of view & her sister’s point of view of how she was trying to start over after everything. There were so many twists and turns and what I thought would happen and who the murderer is, kept me on my toes. The ending leaves room for a sequel. I can’t say what happens because that would spoil too much. I love the atmosphere of the forest. J.T. does a great job setting up the woodsy atmosphere and you can hear the wind blowing in the trees, & the sound of footsteps either walking or running to get you. Thank you, Rachel Gul & J.T. Ellison, for the early copy of Last Seen! Last Seen will be available wherever you get your books on August 1st! I do look forward to our Behind The Book Q&A J.T.
