I meant to do this last night but plans changed. Unfortunately childrens author Jenna Cole passed away at age 75 of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. For those that don’t know, Jenna Cole is best known for writing the science fiction books “Magic School Bus.” According to my source, “The Washington Post;”
Ms. Cole wrote more than 250 books for children but was best known for the “Magic School Bus,” series, which debuted in 1986 and came to include 13 titles and dozens of spinoffs, two television shows, and a fortcoming movie. The line of books sold 93 million copies in 13 countries, according to Ms. Cole’s publisher, Scholastic, becoming a mainstay of libraries, classrooms and bedroom booknooks.
I remember being a little kid in the 90s and early 2000s watching the 90s t.v. series. Wow do I feel old now haha! Although this news is unfortunate I have happier book related news to report on. I report on all book related news things both good and bad as you’ve seen. This is the first time though, that I reported on the death of an author. Keep your heads up guys, there’s more good news ahead.
