Hooked: A Solid Mystery that has me hooked

Investigative reporter Kartrina Chopin and homicide detective & surfer Ken Goode are investigating suspicious deaths as individuals; they can’t help the immediate attraction to one another. Two biotech executives developing a sexual enhancement drug end up dead under suspicious circumstances.  Great Setting, Solid Mystery, Just a Bit Long

I love the setting of La Jolla Farms California I can picture the setting & what I also liked was the story takes place in 2015 which is hard to believe is over a decade ago. I like the mystery of the story. The only flaw was, I think it could have been shorter and we wouldn’t miss anything. It presented both Ken and Katrina’s points of view of the same situations and it came off as repetitive. Overall, I can’t wait to read book 2. I want to know more about Katrina’s past.
