Don't Tell Me How To Die

Don’t Tell Me How To Die

Maggie McCormac Dunn had it all, a fantastic husband, two beautiful children who are twins and an exciting career! Maggie’s life got hit with a curveball when at forty three she found out a rare blood cancer would take her life before her next birthday. Maggie’s mother also died at forty three, just before Maggie’s mother died, she made Maggie and her sister Lizzy promise they would take care of their father because as soon as their mother passes women would flock to their single father like stray cats to an overturned milk truck. One evil woman, Connie Gilchrist almost sunk her claws into their dad and ruined his life. Now, Maggie is looking for a replacement for her husband since she knows she doesn’t have long. Oh, did I mention that in high school, Maggie was voted “Most likely to kill someone to get what she wants?”

Concept, Entertainment & Too Many Ideas

I love the concept of Don’t Tell Me How To Die & the writing by Marshall Karp was easy to read. I did like Maggie up to a point & the rest of the characters I could either take or leave. There were times the story dragged but I was still entertained! I do give the book credit for originality! I think the problem with Don’t Tell Me How To Die is while there were some great ideas, I felt like Marshall jam packed everything and the kitchen sink into the book meaning there were way too many ideas. I also think that some of the twists were very farfetched. Don’t Tell Me How To Die by Marshall Karp is available to read now wherever books are sold!
