Aspiring investigative journalist Shannon Gibbons and her husband Trey & her daughter McKenzie, moved into a beautiful home in The Fabulous Forties of East Sacramento where she agrees to be an assistant journalist to renowned journalist Rosella Marlow. To Shannon it is an honor working for a renowned journalist who she’s idolized for years. Unfortunately, Shannon finds out that appearances are deceiving. Rosella being bitter, resentful & consumed by grief since the death of Rosella’s husband Lance & her son Daniel, she is obsessed with revealing secrets of everyone who lives on the block and using Shannon Gibbons to help her do it. A day later Rosella is murdered, murdered by someone watching her. Everyone on the block is a suspect. But only one person is a murderer. Who murdered Rosella Marlow & why?

Writing, Characters & So many twists and turns

I know T.R. (Theresa) Ragan has been writing for several years and I did a Q&A with her back in 2022. When I saw the cover of Best House On The Block & read the description of the mystery, I knew it was something I wanted to read and do a Behind The Book Q&A with Theresa. This was my first time reading anything by her. Back in late September I sped through this novel like a bullet as the story and characters kept my interest. The writing was descriptive, and I can picture the wealthy neighborhood. My favorite characters were Shannon & Chloe. I like how each character had something to hide, and everyone had a possible motive from the adults to even some of the teenagers.  There were so many twists and turns. The prologue seemed like something from a totally different book, but when you kept reading everything clicked and came together like a puzzle. Even after the killer is revealed more is revealed but I won’t spoil it. I can’t wait to read what you write next.
