Story, Romance & Characters

I love the story and while I’m not into sports, I do enjoy this sports romance and its also my first time reading anything by Shanora Williams. Davina & Deke have great chemistry and romance. The sex scenes could have been toned down a bit but I still enjoyed the story. I love how Davina & Deke helped each other grow from the hurt that life has dealt them, and they encouraged each other to be better people. I teared up here and there. This novel is a reminder that a partner that is truly good for you will encourage the best out of you not the worst, it’s unfortunate that some don’t realize that & will have to learn the hard way. Just be aware that while the book speaks about romance, grief and moving on, there is also talk about physical abuse & suicide. Keep this in mind before you start to read the novel.
