Archers Voice

Archers Voice

Friday I began reading Archers Voice by Mia Sheridan and finished it yesterday. Bree Prescott needs to get out of Ohio after surviving and her father dying at a murderer’s gun shot. So Bree goes to Pelion May to get away. While there Bree meets Archer Hale who can only speak with his hands. Archer survived his own tragedy and hard life. These two souls help each other heal and they fall in love. Mia Sheridan is a master at her craft, I smiled and my heart broke for the characters too. I also felt as though I were in Maine with them as the story and characters came to life.

Pros

I love the setting of Maine. I especially love the lake and the house in the woods Archer lived in and the gate to his house. I felt all the characters were well written and I even liked Travis even though I wanted to throw my shoe at him for being a jerk. There were twists that I didn’t see coming as well. I was lucky enough to also read the extended epilogue after the first epilogue and the chapter 15 part from Archer’s point of view.

Cons

To quote Jane Austen, If a book is well written, I always find it too short.

 Overall

Overall I enjoyed Archers Voice. Mia Sheridan is one of many authors who I know I will read all of their books as soon as they’re available. I can’t wait to read Travis’s story in his own novel Travis. I want to see Travis become a better man and find love too. I also can’t wait to do a Q&A with you this June, Mia. Thank you for writing novels that touch the heart and remind us that with all the ugliness in the world there’s still a lot of beauty in the world too.
