Great Concept Wasted Potential

Leila Meacham passed away in 2021 and April Storm while it was her final novel before she passed, it was also her first time writing a mystery. It was my first time reading anything from her. April Storm had a great concept for a mystery so of course I was going to read it. I like the character of Mike, the man who choose to help her and he has his own personal reason as to why he helps her mixed with the goodness of his heart. The other characters I didn’t care about. I also felt the concept was great, but the potential was wasted. For a short book the story dragged & that’s not a good thing no matter how long or short the book is. Finding out who the stalker was and why, the reveal while it made sense it was somehow disappointing. Also, everything seemed to be tied up too neatly and conveniently. I read other reviews that she wrote other novels that were better, and I might check those out. April Storms came out on November 24th and is available to read now!
