Animorphs movie!

I have more book related news for you all. This time its for fans of the book series “Animorphs.” Whether  you were kids during the 90s reading the series and are now adults or if your own children are reading the series, this could be exciting news. “Animorphs,” is getting adapted into a movie after 25 years. The movie is being co-adapted by Scholastic Entertainment. “Animorphs,” is written by Katherine Applegate and her husband and co-author Michael Grant. “Animorphs is about 6 best friends 5 of them are humans and one is an alien, Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, Marco and Ax — who have all been given the power to morph into any animal they touch. Together, they lead Earth’s fight against the secret invasion of a brain-dwelling parasite alien species called the Yeerks.

 “Animorphs,” already had a tv adaption in the 1990s. I’m hoping for fans of the series that they don’t’ mess the movie up and go way far away from the books. Since there was already a tv show in the 90s I wonder if some would be concerned if the movie wouldn’t capture the magic of the books the way the tv show might have. Then again maybe the show didn’t follow the books and maybe the movie will? Hopefully Hollywood does well with the movie. I will give you guys updates when more info comes out.
