Eloise struggles with anxiety and prefers the company of her rescue dogs to being around people. Eloise’s best friend Rachel announces she’s getting married in Mexico City.  Story, Pacing & Timeless Reminders

The story was of course great, and I like the setting of Mexico City. I also like the love Eloise has for her dogs. I also like how Augustin brings Eloise out of her shell and Eloise begins to live life. The pacing was on the slower side but there weren’t any other issues. My favorite quote from the novel My darling, beautiful friend falling in love is hard. It comes with a lot of risks. Because people are flawed. We make mistakes. We aren’t perfect. The quote resonates with me and anyone who has fallen in love, anyone who’s scared to fall in love, anyone who’s scared to tell someone their true feelings. It’s worth telling someone your feelings no matter the outcome… The Plus One by Amy Ewing will be available on October 20^th wherever you get your books!
