A Fine Scottish Harmony

A Fine Scottish Harmony tells the tale of Lyla, whose dreams were crushed but then was offered an opportunity for a journey to Scotland. Lyla then ends up in the 13^th realm full of dragon kind and magic users & Magnus who claims he is her fated mate. While Lyla’s voice no longer can give her a career in the human realm, her voice and her musical instruments can heal the world of the 13^th realm and maybe even heal herself along the way…

 Story Characters & Location

The story immediately drew me in. I love how it’s a mixture of Scottish folklore and legends and the modern world. You also become invested in the characters, though my favorite characters are Lyla, Magnus, & Mairwen and Keeva the weavers. I could picture Scotland and the magical 13^th realm that was how descriptive and magical the writing was. The pacing was on the slower side, but it wasn’t slow enough to where I wanted to stop reading. The slow pace that this novel had kept me invested in the story. It’s very rare for me when a slower pace has me invested. I can’t wait to read more of Maeve Greyson’s tales of romance and magic that’s a reminder that happily ever after, can exist even when all seems lost…
