The Lie She Wears: Unsolved Mysteries & Family Ties

The Lie She Wears: Unsolved Mysteries & Family Ties

Museum curator Pearl Davis had a difficult relationship with her mother Sally and rarely felt her mother’s love. Sally’s odd behavior never added up. Though when Sally dies, Sally left Pearl letters detailing confessions admitting to murder. This shocks Pearl and leaves her with more questions than answers. At first she thinks the confessions to murder are a sign of her mother’s diminished state, until Pearl finds two bodies buried in her mothers garden. Pearl investigates which takes her down the rabbit hole of dark secrets and people close to her start getting killed. Pearl must solve the mystery before it gets her too.

 Twists, Turns & Originality

What can I say? There isn’t anything I disliked. I just wish it were longer because I did enjoy the story that much. I love that the main character in Elle Marr’s new mystery is a museum curator. I like the characters, and I like reading from Pearl, Zelda’s and other characters points of view. There were so many twists and turns & I did not see them coming, which makes for an excellent mystery. Who I thought was the killer and why was not who I expected. This is my first time reading anything by Elle Marr and I’m glad I did. Thank you, Elle Marr, for writing this exciting story! I look forward to posting our interview when it’s time. Thank you, Jennifer Richards, from Over The River Public Relations, for sending me a copy. If you’re a long-time fan of Elle Marr’s or if you’re a newbie to her work like I am, I would preorder a copy of The Lie She Wears available on November 18th wherever you get your books!
