The Meaning of the Murder

The Meaning Of Murder Killed Me

Eliana Golden’s Orthodox Jewish father disappeared when she was thirteen because he knew the bank was transferring funds to terrorists in the Middle East. Eliana is now part of the NYPD wants to solve the mystery of his disappearance and meets a mysterious soldier named Savoyin who knows things that Eliana wants the answers to.

 Story, Characters & Pacing

I like a good mystery thriller. I do like the characters of Eliana and Savoyin, both of the are interesting and Savoyin is mysterious as are his motives. The pacing was a little slow for me. I also enjoy the setting which is New York City. The descriptive writing sets the tone for the story which is dark, mysterious and gritty. I didn’t hate the book but I didn’t love it either. Something extra was missing to give me that Wow factor!  If you need a quick read, The Meaning of the Murder by Walter B. Levis is available now wherever books are sold.
