Kate Quinn’s new novel!

 I have one final Christmas gift for you all that love to visit my blog! A week or two ago, my online friend and bestselling author, Kate Quinn posted on Facebook about how sad she was that she had to kill off a character in the new book she is writing at this very moment. I commented, “I’m scooping for more bookish news. Can you spoil a little bit about your new novel?” Kate responded with this, “Two words: Lyudmila Pavlichenko ;). I did a quick Google search with that name. Lyudmila Pavlichenko was a Russian sniper in the Red Army during World War II. She was credited with 309 confirmed kills dubbing her with the nick name “Lady Death due to her being a good shot with a sniper.

So that’s a small hint that goes along way. Obviously Lyudmila will be a major character in Kate’s upcoming novel. While we don’t’ know the name of the novel and who else could be showing up in the upcoming novel, I’m still excited nonetheless. I enjoyed the Huntress so much that I can’t wait to read, “The Rose Code,” and “The Alice Network,” before it becomes a mini-series. It’s also exciting that authors like Kate Quinn, Martha Hall Kelley, and Kristin Harmel are writing about lesser known females of the war and things that happened during the war that we didn’t know about.
