Mysteries with Tradwives, Art Heist, Dual Timelines & Paris
With 2024 nearing its end and 2025 around the corner, & before we know it 2026 will be here in the blink of an eye, I had to write this newsletter! Jo Piazza whose the author of bestselling novels such as Charlotte Walsh Likes To Win, We Are Not Like Them co-authored with Christine Pride & this years The Sicilian Inheritance has a new mystery novel coming in 2025 titled Everyone Is Lying To You coming out on July 15th 2025! That’s a mystery novel I look forward to reading in the summer by the pool!
In the novel Everyone Is Lying To You, Lizzie & Bex were best friends in college. After graduation Bex disappeared & Lizzie understandably feels devastated and confused. After fifteen years though, their lives have drastically changed. Bex, who now goes by Rebecca Summers is a “traditional” Instagram influencer with millions of followers who want her life living on the perfect ranch with her five children and handsome husband Gray. Lizzie is a struggling magazine writer watching reels online while her children demand her attention.
Out of the blue, Bex calls Lizzie that would help Lizzie’s career, an exclusive interview about her tradwife life! When Gray is murdered and Bex is missing, it’s up to Lizzie to find out what happened and why and perhaps even save her best friend! It’s already keeping me on my toes! I also like how this book seems to call out the toxicity of the internet & all these movements trying to make a statement of how superior they think they are to everyone else!
The novel Jo has coming out in 2026 is The Lost Masterpiece which is a dual timeline mystery which focuses on a art heist from a group of females and it takes place in Paris of all places! Ooh La La! There are also long hidden letters of Vincent Van Goh’s sister-in-law Jo Van Goh! I know I’m also going to devour The Lost Masterpiece as I would a piece of chocolate cake! It is an art heist, historical fiction mixed in with mystery and it’s in Paris!
