Angelology

Angelology

Evangeline was just a girl when her father dropped her off at the Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration in Upstate New York. At twenty-three she is a nun & she discovers an old letter from 1943 which is a letter between the late Mother Superior the founder of the Convent & Abigail Rockefeller. It is about an ancient war between the Society of Angelologists and the Nephilim which are the descendants of humans and angels. The more Evangeline digs into this and helps her new friend Verlaine, the more both realize that they are in more danger than they think and so is the world.

Story, Writing, Pacing & Characters

I love the concept about humans being at war with the Nephilim. Then again as a Catholic and someone whose read fictional books about angel human romances, of course I’m going to enjoy most books that are angel related. The pacing might have been slow for me at times but not enough to quit reading for good. I love the characters of Evangeline, Verlaine, Sister Celestine & even the villain Percival. Toward the ending of the book, it gets more action packed and I like the twists we find out in the end. The end while I won’t spoil it, leaves open for the sequel. The sequel Angelopolis is of course out & of course I plan on reading it.

Overall

I know I’m late to the party reading Angelology by Danielle Trussoni, but better late than never. I hope there are many adventures to be told in the Angelology world. I know book 2 is out and there is a novella. I’m sure many fans are waiting for book 3.
