Authors In The Media With Chris Denmead
This year Mickey Mikkelson connected me with author Chris
Denmead. Chris is a man of many talents though, as he has a radio show called The
Dr. Chris Radio of Horror which has been broadcasting since 2007!
Q: In our Q&A you briefly touched on The
Dr. Chris Radio of Horror show. What made you want to start this radio
show? Why did you choose horror as the topic specifically?
A: I was a fan of radio show hosts mistress Carrie and
Kevin barbaree of Waaf and wanted to start a show about horror. I tried doing a
stream of YouTube channel in 2006 to little success but wanted to explore it
more in radio in 2007 after meeting some people at a local radio station stand
at StART on the street
Q: You’ve had this radio show since 2007! What
is your advice for anyone wanting to have their own radio show?
A: Find a station that wants a show with a gimmick
Q: I know The Dr. Chris Radio of
Horror broadcasts on Sunday night. Would you please provide a link to
the radio show? Those of us who are horror fans would appreciate it!
A: www.radioofhorror.wordpress.com
www.wcuw.org
Q: You’ve interviewed authors, directors,
special effects makeup artists, actors & directors on your radio show! That
sounds so exciting! Can you give a list of these people and what those
experiences were like interviewing them?
A: The Lost would be over 700 episodes long lol.
Cassandra Peterson, John De Lemay (Friday the 13th the
series) John Kassir (crypt keeper) Paul Dini (animation writer ) so many people
so many lol. Yancy Butler, Doug Bradley
